Our client was established in 1994 and has since gained a reputation for being one of the leading metalwork companies in the area, having been involved in many high-profile projects in the UAE. They are now looking for an experienced Technical/Materials Engineer to join their team.

Responsible for understanding client requirements, ten successful candidate will be creating proposals and solutions, and working on pre-qualification & material submittals; driving cross functional collaboration to ensure high quality technical documents preparation.
Preparation of technical submittals ,technical letters, warranties, addressing consultants’ comments, etc. and continuous update of licenses and certificates in the standard submittals template are also part of the remit.
You will also be responsible for updating new datasheets, third party tests, test reports and other relevant information necessary for the submittal. Continuous update of the shared engineering folder (Project approvals, specifications, letters log, new ETA’s and Datasheets, etc.)
Finally, renewal of Authorities Certification like ADCE, DEWA, ADCO approvals and vendors list whenever necessary and telephone technical support for Clients requiring immediate attention will be required of this role.

Job Summary

- Document Control, preparing prequalification submittals, material submittals etc.
- Tag and organise the project samples.
- Follow up with the suppliers for sample and submittals.
- Compliance statement for materials to be prepared.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and timelines.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Review project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and review method statements for construction activities.
- Analyze material submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare compliance statements and documentation for regulatory approvals.
- Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress and quality.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Identify and address any technical issues or discrepancies on-site.
- Manage and respond to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) issued from project sites.
- Investigate root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and track NCR resolutions to ensure timely closure.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Manages and prepares the required submittals for client's approval.
- Ensure all departments are aware of the approved materials and have the track of the same.
- Hand over approved materials to the project teams.
- Coordination with client, consultant and contractors will be managed.
- Development of technical submittals, commercial submittals, tender documents, etc.
- Conduct the preparation of proposals & Registration for Public/private sector clients.
- Preparation of technical standards and specifications for Steel Fabrication projects with respect to the local and international standards and requirements.
